Good luck to all of those impacted.

If you don't say where you were surplussed from (city and org) and post your UID it didn't happen.
""Did you get notice, or was it out of nowhere?"
If you're management and you've been around for any length of time, you know the SURPLUS dance.
- Rumors abound, especially the 'waves' so 'you know.'
- Supervisor may or may not give you a heads up but the 'day of' impacted folks get a 1 on 1 meeting request from their supervisor.
- The call is scripted and during or after the call your supervisor sends you THE LETTER via email.
- Afterward everyone else on your team received a group meeting invite and learn: impacted colleagues were notified and you are safe! The call is more informal, not scripted so some people share comments. No names are mentioned on this call !
- Team breathes a sigh of relief during call. After the call some may compare group call invitees with team roster to figure out who got axed.
- Surplussed employees then are invited to a group meeting with HR to go through the details of being surplussed with or without retiring. Benefits, HR, Compensation and Supervisors are on the call also.
- Rinse and repeat for each *Surplus Class of 'LDOP date '
What is the off payroll date?
"Did you get notice, or was it out of nowhere?"
My Director told me in advance so I wouldn't be caught off guard. It would have been out of nowhere otherwise.
Any impact to those on the Sears Data Center contract?
“Did you get notice, or was it out of nowhere?”
Out of nowhere?
we was told . what gives?
Mucho El Peso Muerto.
“I was impacted today. Any others in NJ?”

If there’s 50 or more, the WARN Act comes into play and we get 90 days instead of 2 weeks. More pay, longer time with benefits, etc”
For your sake I hope there were, but I’m in NJ and we were told the virtual, and those not near hubs would be impacted first, and then another 5-10% additional.
Stankey will continue to cut heads and expenses because he can't grow revenues. Many top performers end up getting cut as well because they don't do the work to make sure they keep the best....Stankey runs T like a government dept. Gotta get rid of the Debt King.
I know of at least one in the Van Buskirk org. Heard there were others but can only confirm one.”
I know of two.
I am aware of 5, myself being one but we asked to be on the list.
Our group lost 10 today
And what group would that be?
Any actual information? States? Orgs? Management or craft?
Thanks for nothing.

Union protected, so no worries.
“As a top performer who has been impacted in prior surplus exercises,”
I stopped reading here.

"be supportive or STFU and keep your uninformed opinions to yourself"
There's some dead weight. Hop off and go f*** yourself.
“ Shedding dead weight.”
Kinda like your whole pathetic existence. Get a life lil bro 🤡
To the a**hole suggesting the company is "shedding dead weight" - WOW. Are you insane, unintelligent, naive or, god help you, hopeful in thinking that's the case?! As a top performer who has been impacted in prior surplus exercises, trust me when I say your time is coming and you will be completely blindsided like most are because in almost every case there isn't real justification - it's where you're situated, what you support, who you know or more aptly who can advocate for you, but RARELY performance indicators otherwise you'd be on a PIP. So be kind, be supportive or STFU and keep your uninformed opinions to yourself.
"I know of at least one in the Van Buskirk org."
Unfortunately, it should have been Van Buskirk.
We was told we was safe. What gives?
No ABFS workers lost that I know of...we're still pretty much fully intact!
Shedding dead weight.
Says the guy posting here during work hours.

Zero layoffs today
Shedding dead weight.
FirstNet virtual workers were hit hard. A few were given advance notice. Sad.
Any idea on what orgs are being informed today?
Haven't heard a peep.
Don’t worry - your time to get laid will come too - sooner than you would anticipate!
