Thread regarding Cisco Systems Inc. layoffs

Are any really "tech companies?" Merely conglomerates that acquire competitors to eliminate competition. When was the last time Google created a product internally?

LOL, they are all this way, the fallacy of all tech companies is that they are efficient or well managed.

I've never seen any company, full of young, childish, immature, incompetent employees, managed by over-20-year tenure managers and directors who have very limited skills and experiences, not even qualified to be in any managerial position.

Many of the old people were once were the “young, childish, immature, incompetent employees” and were incompetent from day one. The few who weren’t completely useless coming in the door are destroyed quickly with bad metrics and RSUs and they aren’t even aware of it. Look at the Youtube videos from senior “talent” at FAANG companies and it’s clear bad culture and big money really make for a lot of bad engineering at those companies as well - it’s not unique to Cisco.

When I first got the job here, it was tolerable. However, this is now a real mess. Cisco is now the most disorganized company I've ever worked for.

Of course, anyone in the right mind, solid-career/professional mind, joined from other tech companies knows that!

There is no surprise it's the most disorganized company. Anyone who has a normal professional career gets sick of it soon and leave.

This company is for those who only know Cisco in their lives and mistakenly continue to believe in it to be the best... How sad...
