PTO during notice period

For those of you who have resigned since the longer notice periods were in effect, did BNY let you use your remaining PTO during the notice period?

There is no official written policy on this, HR just says it's up to the manager.

I plan to give my 30 days notice and use the last week as PTO. I wondering how much push back I will get.

Drink as much as office free coffee as possible and eat all the office free lunch, then drop the 2 week notice. Happy new life.

Get any funds out of reimbursement accounts (load onto cards). Use any Reward (WOW) points, request your hardcopy employee files from HR, use up all of your PTO. If you have a parking pass to the BNYM garage, make sure it’s active. 😀 Best wishes for your future.

They won’t push back. Your manager should accept that you’re gone and by your last week you should have turned over everything anyways. If they do say no, be stern and tell them you’re using the time you earned. Otherwise, just use your sick time or not show up. You have the upper hand and if they want to be a je-k, you can be one back with zero repercussions.

So then just push out the start date of giving notice until after whatever time off you're taking around Easter and the school holiday schedule.

Take as much PTO as you can around 4/20 (heh) and whenever that PTO time runs out, then when you're back in the office, give your 30 day notice.

Don't let them je-k you around any more than they already have. If you're at the point of putting in your resignation, do it on your terms vs. theirs, as much as possible!

Have a great extended holiday family time with no worries, and then simply resign as soon as you get back..LOL!

Unfortunately with easter being late and my kids school holiday schedule, I need the time off at the end.

Why give them an opportunity to say no?

Just take your week of PTO (or all of it that you have racked up as of now), then when you get back, give them your 2 weeks' notice.
That's the standard amount of time for giving notice...you don't have to give them a month. This is a job, not a month-to-month apartment lease!
