Laid off from CB Process Improvement/Process Engineering team today. What other departments/groups got hit?

@az9 They just spent a few million to put the logo up on top of a skyscraper uptown, and opened a whole cafeteria set-up in the same building, so I doubt they plan to consolidate down to CIC alone in the immediate future. I could see them occupying fewer buildings Uptown though, they’re in 4 at the moment.
Yep, it's a numbers game. Eventually you run out of people to downsize in small locations and the only ones left to target are hubbers. NC is routinely one of the top states for people being downsized. That won't get any better. If anything, it will continue to get worse. Winston Salem and Raleigh go first, but even before that wraps up 'consolidation' will start in Charlotte. There's really no reason to have multiple buildings there. CIC will be it eventually. All area employees won't fit? Won't be a problem for long.
Fake news
It is what it is - overall better off as the job was slowly ki-ling me. 20 yrs and laid off a month ago.
Are specialties being exited?
In terms of location preference, MSP and DSM will go before Charlotte; there's just too much banking talent here coupled with a low cost of living....to the point where other GSFI's are posting more jobs here.
@g3+1jqs0vgbd
Sadly the hubs are already being impacted- many from CLT and Phoenix impacted on Tuesday.
Charlotte will soon become the primary target for downsizing. That whole evil plan won't stop, or even slow down, once all the remote employees and non-hub employees are eliminated. And who do you think will be the next target? That's right, the hubs.
I got laid off from CB and it was the best thing ever but I have to say I have one year severance so I’m just taking it day by day but every day that I’m not there, I’m actually winning!
WIM data got hit too! Some seniors (MDs) also 'resigned' over the weekend to pursue better opportunities.
I know some folks who were impacted by location strategy but had been on workforce share program were given notice today. They all knew it in advance, at least, I guess.
Noooo! Not so many in CB CAO under Annie/ Mike. WFC can get the bozack.
This sounds like Hawaiian Shirt day in the movie Office Space --> "Meanwhile in Charlotte, they had an outdoor "Aloha" event."
25 years and let go today from the CB CAO. Grieving a bit honestly but I’ll be ok. Gotta get it into my head that this is a blessing and start to actually enjoy life and take care of myself!
Meanwhile in Charlotte, they had an outdoor "Aloha" event..on a cut day
@aw - same boat brother. Blessing in disguise.
@ax+1jqs0vgbd Sounds like you need to find some new “feelers” buddy!
@a3+1jqs0vgbd here! You mo--ns who downvoted me. I'm in tech and know many people in other groups in tech, no one I know heard of any tech layoffs! So there! Perhaps I was not clear enuf, that's on me! Better luck next time kiddies.
Laid off today from technology engineering team. I hear there were others gone from same broad area. Been at WF 10 years. I hated it here last 4 yrs. Thanks WF for paying me to look for a better place. I was going to do it anyway.
Wow! Didnt realize it was that many. About 1/3 considering he had around 300 on the greater team if I recall…
CB data got hit as well
Approx 80 people laid off on Annie/Mike C’s team specifically
How many people got hit from your team ? Layoffs are coming fast and ugly this year
CB CAO under Annie/ Mike hit hard today
Been here many years, have feelers in various groups. Not heard of any layoffs today.
