Well folks, in case you don't already know, the semiconductor industry is highly cyclical. (been there for 17 years) One of the issues facing this industry, is that when layoffs occur, talent often goes into other types of manufacturing and never comes back. (aviation, medical devices, automobile, etc.) This is a national security issue! The semi industry needs to retain talent. If CHIPS helps companies retain folks during a downturn, great! Otherwise it will bleed out to other sectors. Yes, Intel has lots of catching up to do..Is it recoverable? (personally, I am doubtful but I've been wrong many times) We shall see!
