Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

Broken Average Hours report will update tomorrow

Are you ready?
Will it be accurate? Of course not!
Will they take time away from your presence by creatively rounding your minutes?
Not to mention the time you spend looking for parking and a place to sit, will you ever get that time back?

" I know people who come in 3am stay till 2pm."

And it's not a mistake that you're hearing all of the buzz about "core hours" now.

While stopping just sort of mandating set hours (9 to 5 or what have you) -- we have gotten a couple emails now talking about how we need to work when our customers are working, or something to that affect. Stopping just short of a mandate, or giving specific hours.

If you have been around long enough, you can smell what is cooking, and you know it's coming. Set hours.

No more allowing the good faith efforts to come in early to do your 8 , in an effort to mitigate some of the heaviest traffic, accommodate stuff you need to do after work, whatever.

Nope. Maximum misery, all the time.

If you no longer want to work at T, leave. As in today. Just leave.

Amusing that a L3or L4 is up defending this company. Try as you might, you will get flushed. Screen print this to remember your stupidity.

They make the hours round down instead of up. Tells you all you need to know.

We work and sell technology yet we prefer to falsely report my average hours report by unlawfully sending unethical data. Besides stating 0 hours when we were at work, it randomly steals hours while rounding time. Please. W. T. F. ?

Friday April 4 is a zero hour on the report.

I have saved every report as they came out and glad I did. When it 'updated' last week, it changed times for just about every single day. JUST ABOUT EVERY SINGLE DAY it changed what was previously published and accepted.

This is why I have not cut a single day short since they announced this 8-hr a day shenanigans, much as I detest having to track my own hours in order to be able to defend my performance if need be.

I worked 10 hour days and sometimes weekends.”
Web surfing and online shopping shouldn’t be included in the 10 hours.

Sounds like poor planning on your part.

There is no company where you bill them for work hours from the time you hit the parking lot.

Literally all professional jobs are billed exactly this way. If you don't believe me, hire a lawyer sometime.

The time spent looking for parking spots/ a place to sit is sunk time, that we could have spent working. When I worked from home, I worked 10 hour days and sometimes weekends. NO MORE

There is no company where you bill them for work hours from the time you hit the parking lot. You sound like one of those people who try to include the commute in their hours worked.

Doesn’t work that way chief

What you mean is the company has failed to provide you adequate parking or a place to work.

Parking. I’ve worked downtown before for the gov. The gov didn’t provide me parking. I could pay to park in a nearby lot or take public transit. Not their problem.

Not having a assigned desk when you walk in. I thought we had hoteling where you reserve a desk. But I’m not at your location.

T shouldn’t count this time. This is due to your poor planning leading to additional minutes off the clock.

How dare you question RTO, something that offers no benefit to employees, the company, or its investors? Return-to-office isn’t about productivity, efficiency, or collaboration — it’s about enforcing obedience.

The sentiment I got today from the open mic was "how dare you be so ungrateful as to question RTO?" The condescension....

Read the room, dude.
