JAX Campus Incident

Anyone know what happened on campus April 8th? Apparently they’re not going to notify all associates of a safety concern, but they pulled a few leaders on a call to make them aware… why can’t we all know so we can be safe?

I assume it probably has something to do with someone hiding in the garage and attacking an employee again. I’m not even sure what security does on campus. It’s literally a waste of money… they’ve not been helpful when there was an emergency or even if people forget their badge. There was still their arms up and looked d-mbfounded., they’re just there to give the appearance as if we have security; meanwhile, they are never patrolling the garages or actually keeping anyone safe.

I couldn’t join the call because of an urgent conflict, but I’m not comfortable with intentional attempts to suppress transparency for ALL.

@dp I think the building 400 incident was 5/20. I didn’t hear about anything in the parking garage.

I spoke with several people since this incident (I was the one who checked the police call logs). There is also a second video of the incident, and someone from my line of business was two cars down from it when it happened. Evidently SOACC was there, and when I asked my manager (who is in Arizona) about it, he was told by one of the site leaders it was a "scuffle" and both people were arrested but there were no we-pons mentioned. I asked him if it made sense for both people to be arrested over a "scuffle" that had helicopters hovering until 11pm, and he told me that any more information would have to come from the person who he talked to, or if I wanted, I could go to SOACC myself if I felt unsafe. I think he was just as unsatisfied with the answer he got, but there wasn't a whole lot he could do from across the country.

But don't worry @1a0+1jrdhzvss

Trust in the team (of executives), despite the fact that they are being instructed to hide the truth.

I am located in Delaware. Our Wilmington building is in a cr-ppy area, lots of crime. Our executive has said per corporate, they are not allowed to disclose crime events to associates. The executive has asked and has directly been told no.

The SpotCrime website is a good site to check reported crime in an area. Use the CTRL + Scroll to zoom in or out on the map.

The Bank does not own the property so not our problem.

You really think this bank cares? In my work location, we recently had bo-b threats and they closed entrance to the building. Did they notify or evacuate anyone IN the building? Nope. We've had people shot and stabbed right outside after paying >$18 a day to park, just to get a$$es back in seats. None of these events are ever discussed. Swept under the rug.

the bank is not really in the business of communicating to you if they do not have any reason to cover liability on their side, so if the incident was outside the office building it is likely not their responsibility to almost any extent...

even when it is in the office or may imply some liability for them, they will minimize comms until they have a reason to go public - which is usually when it's already public anyway

I watched the video. It was outside building 400. Two people were fighting and yelling at each other, and then there was what sounded like a shot fired. I checked the JSO call log, they were dispatched for a dispute. I plan on asking my manager about it today and if he has no answer I will likely go to SOACC.

It was pretty disturbing and honestly pi---d me off last time our campus had a safety concern in the garage and I had to find out via the local news.

I’m in 200 and not aware we had another issue. Security is useless and I’m surprised someone hasn’t been hurt yet with people driving top speeds in the garage. I don’t think anyone is afraid though of the 80 year olds guards in our lobby.
