Union and Company to meet for possible extension

I heard the union and company will meet next month for a possible extension. Hopefully it will be a 3 year deal. The union should ask for a 5 % raise for each year, 2% raise for pensions. Plus get the new hires a pension for their retirement.

Should the union ask its members what is important to them for the upcoming negotiations or do they still not give a sh-t and will just bend over to VZ

As long as I get my retirement I don’t care . Vacation , raises , pay isn’t important to me at all . You’ll be there and wish you gave up pay and vacation for retirement .

No BS.

All I care about is retiring in the next couple of years. I don’t care about your pay, your happiness, your healthcare, vacation time, or anything else with this new contract.

The person that posted those two posts is so delusional he's actually come to believe deep down in his feeble-mind that his jealous, schadenfreude-driven comments, by sheer will of his Vulcan mind meld, will influence corporate policy.
Pay no attention to that man behind the keyboard-curtain. They not like us.

1en always wondered that myself. This site could honestly be a half dozen of us, myself and yourself included, who constantly come here and post over and over. Like the last two posts. They sound like the exact same person. We shall call him him "RTO boy". It's always the same nastiness, bad karma wishing from him. Maybe I'm bored with this site. Maybe I just want to see what happens with contract negotiations. Who knows.

RTO to bust the union then replace techs with contractors and we’ll be done with them.

Has RTO office been discussed? It’ll be a good way to trim some of the “entitled union call center worker". They are su-king the company dry. If Verizon puts in a mandate to RTO, you’ll see them scatter.

"...There is no justification in unions getting preferential terms over the non-unionized staff..." -- @1cm+1jrk372te
You're right. All should be treated well and in the preferred way. A sure-fire way to even the playing field is for all to unionize to better the lot of those currently treated less favorably.
A rising tide lifts all boats.

Union parasites will be the downfall of VZ. There is no justification in unions getting preferential terms over the non-unionised staff. Hopefully the unions can be done away with onc and for all!

People only get annoyed when “literally” is used incorrectly, like in the last two posts, where it sounds like something out of a valley girl stereotype. The first person actually used it correctly.

@vz+1jrk372te You’re literally lying. Productivity has improved greatly since starting wfh. I was going to quit as a TL before the pandemic but now people actually don’t sc--w around as much. CSCC has greatly improved and I’m happy to be a part of it.

Also, a message for Paul A from the mothership. Stop making members hate each other. You’re a rat for the way you act. For Terry M, I’ll care about your issues when you care about mine.

@f2+1jrk372te are you an id--t? productivity is down like 60% due to WFH. The company doesn't like it and it definitely isn't productive. There is only a handful of jobs that can be justified to be work from home

I hope they get rid of wfh so we can finally bust this union. After that we get rid of techs and hire contractors. Goodbye lazy union.

If the WFH people strike, will they picket outside their own homes? If a family member comes in or out of the house are they crossing the line?

Sorry pensions are pretty dead anyone who has them are Lucky .That ones a pipe dream for new hires !!!Unfortunately This country is turned into a big lump of dump .The American Dream is dead and buried. There is no elected official on either side of the political spectrum that can save it.They expect you to work till your old /sick then they shove you off into a nursing home so the state can take all your money then the nursing home finishes you off in no time so your dead and don’t need to pay you your social security .The best anyone can hope for is a extension with limited medical increases and some sort of better raises to get the rest of us to that magic number

The company loves work from home!! Saves money, better productivity, and better workers.

What they are actually saying about work from home is increasing the distance you can be from an office. The company wants nationwide and the unions want 1000 miles.
