IHX not doing MDP?

I am a store manager in retail and applied for MDP at my VPGM and DOS's suggestion. I was also interested in a level 2 AD job in IHX but found out they won't let you be part of MDP in IHX this year which is shocking. Why wouldn't they want to invest in their best people?

After hearing that I talked to some other ADs over there and it sounds like a cluster right now and they don't care about career growth or developing people at all. They said it has really gone down hill since last Christmas even though the money is good the leaders have no heart or compassion for people at all. One told me they basically have no soul.

Is that the same everywhere or could it just be this area? Our retail VPGM and DOS here has an amazing culture and I feel really blessed to have them invest in me and develop me. It's really sad how they treat people over there in the same company but just bad leaders.

I know several who have done MDP and turned around and got a job at another company. As a graduate of the program I can assure you that you’re not missing a thing.

MDP is a joke and waste of time...don't worry about not doing it.

Wow they won't let even good sellers do MDP? You don't want to be anywhere near that toxic place

I'm making more money than ever on my comp plan so who cares about mdp just keep these promos coming! It's a job if you think any of yalls other teams really care about you then your foolin yourself they are just pretending. Just play the game and check the boxes then cash that check mdp is d-mb anyway you don't learn anything you actually use it is just a big circlej--k

Who has time for MDP when there are parking cones and the circle of safety to worry about. Yea you can't make this sh-t up they have gone full stupid this year.

It's everywhere now in IHX. Run away fast! Apply for AD in retail. If you have the numbers and are willing to move, you will get it sooner or later. It has its own downsides but at least they pretend to care about you. IHX doesn't even pretend!

we have some new head of ihx don't really know him he doesn't talk to the us or give updates or town halls like Rob used to but I think that has something to do with all these changes my ad says he hasn't even heard his voice lol 😂 so even higher ups don't know the new guy he probably doesn't want to do a town hall because he would be asked about mdp and taking away weekends off for hitting numbers

I am an in home expert and hit double my sales goals every month or more I make a lot of money and used to love my job but this mdp thing is just the tip of the ice burg. Just stay in retail and I am even thinking of going back to retail myself as ASM maybe. It's definitely changed and they went from really making you feel like they cared to now they could care less. The worst part is they tolerate the bad experts and let them get away with being lazy and even hook them up with free phones and cool cars but those of us doing good and want to move up they don't care about they only want our numbers and no longer care about us as people. So yea no mdp, work us to death, can't get weekends off for good sales anymore. Oh and we used to have smart leaders but now our ADs and directors are brain dead, bitter people.
