Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

Does empower call you if you’re about to be laid off ?

Someone randomly called me asking if I want to discuss my financial needs left a voicemail .

No. They’re calling to help with advice on investments. I got one a while ago.

I've gotten two loans from my 401k and funds were deposited very quickly which means they do in fact do ACHs. Not sure how they loose money though? Maybe just a cr-ppy allocation?

YOU are in charge of YOUR money. If you have 'loosed' funds, that is your issue to figure out. I've done very nicely with my Empower 401k

Empower has their own financial advisor area. They are just trying to drum up more business. Been that way since we sold to Empower

Someone is trying to bury the reality check they got on the 333 Market thread.

Empower... No they will do nothing other than loose your money for you. I highly suggest you create a Sep and roll your 401K into it (if you are displaced from WF). To roll over you do whats called a fiduciary to fiduciary transfer. They have to have the institution and your SEP account number before they will cut a check. Empower surprisingly doesn't have ACH or wires! And it takes for ever to get the transfer check!

Nope. Empower does not have any information on layoffs.

They're being borderline annoying on trying to be proactive right now.
