Calm before the storm

A big one is coming.

Are you hoping to get the call?

Or do you want to keep RTO 5x8?

“I am safe. 5 days, 12 hours per day. 10 hours average on report"

Wait until they mandate you power off your laptop when you go home. Let’s see those hours then.

And if I’m wrong about the amount of hours you’re putting in, you’re a su---r, straight up. You think the company cares if you’re over 8?

“No one is safe. It's not how hard you work or how good you are.”

The old adage of “you can achieve anything IF you work hard enough” has always been bogus. Hard work by itself doesn’t guarantee anything. You have to be in the right place at the right time or the right people with the right skill set and or talent(s). Multiple factors contribute to success.

“ I have heard there are now more contractors than employees. That trend will continue as they can cut them without notice.”

This is 100% true! T as a corporation, is currently made up of 40% badged employees and 60% contractors! That should tell you ALL you need to know. We all know that trend will continue!

“death by a thousand cuts” = a company that is hated by those that leave, those that stay, recent hires and the word spreads to the customers, nothing is free T

“I have heard there are now more contractors than employees. That trend will continue as they can cut them without notice.”

Wait until these fools are so far over their heads with contractors that nothing gets done, ever. Milk, milk, milk. Clueless L3 and L4’s lead by the nose of contractors milking them dry. L3’s and L4’s scrambling for excuses with each missed milestone as they beg, beg, beg like a desert dog for more budget, to complete the work that was paid for 3x over. Such pathetic, know-nothing, short-sighted losers. Dig a hole, crawl into it, and roll a boulder over yourself already.

"They have shut down all avenues for people pointing finger at the report."

That is even better for the employee. When the lawsuits are filed it will be easy to show that the company really gave the employee a way to correct the record.

“ This “death by a thousand cuts” is RIDICULOUS! They KNOW the number they need to get down to, so just DO IT!”

They can’t. If they do a mass layoff, that would signal an unhealthy company and the stock would tank. So instead, they are doing the trickle trick to fly under the radar of warn notices and sec reporting. I have heard there are now more contractors than employees. That trend will continue as they can cut them without notice.

They can't just flash cut to a bottom # of employees. They must slow roll it to align to the decline of the legacy business. They need the profit margins of the legacy (think AVPN) products and need employees to support said services until there is enough fiber sold to push customers off of AVPN. This quarterly layoff culture will persist for several more years.

“ It doesn’t matter. Reports are flawed and management doesn’t care to acknowledge or correct.”

They have shut down all avenues for people pointing finger at the report.

  1. The Viva page about the the desktop reptile is closed to comments.
  2. You can put in ticket for inaccuracies , your manager has to, you know how that discussion will go.
  3. There was a message option in power bi dash board , where people to document the inaccuracies, that’s also shut down.

Turning a blind eye does not mean the reports are right.

We are told to respond with yes ma’am and yes sir.
