Alvinds Stock award for 2024 was about 87 million. His Salary was 1.5 million and lets say a couple more million for other perks that is over 90 million

We are talking about an over 290% increase YoY.

Meanwhile Watson X is Cr@p, GDP Was a joke, Thousands of peoples lives were ruined thru RA's and offshoring to India for cheap labor and failed Acquisitions. But Alvind and his Pipmunks fed at the trough like

Arvind’s 2024 IBM compensation was $23m.
With that income it is highly likely that he does not understand the financial impact of a forced move on the common folk.
Moving department numbers around on a spreadsheet further desensitizes c-suite execs to the problems created.

Our department lost 15 people due to this
They wanted people to move at their expense
Maybe If Alvind Krabanaugh and Ice Cream Cohen and the other Pipmunks weren’t so greedy and took less shares their moving expenses could have been covered

What they need to remember
Everyone is free to choose but not free from the consequences of their choices

@dp You have hit the nail on the head. IBM has firm data that shows 85-90% of the employees asked to move will not. HR and the CFO love that statistic as it makes lowering “costs” quite easy. Remember job 1 = lower costs as labor is viewed within management as a commodity.

They are going to lose a lot of talent with this move. Several people I know who are impacted have told me they are leaving the company. These are very skilled and knowledgeable people in their respective areas. They just won’t or cannot move to the sites IBM is requiring.
That is going to mean IBM customers will suffer and go to a competitor and IBM will lose more.

They're bluffing. Another IBM scare tactic. I told my manager that I'm going back to the office - and I'm still getting a paycheck.

This is old news ..
IBM is like and sick old dog. All bark and no bite.
Most people with market value are leaving the sinking ship.
People sticking around do not care about their strategic career path.
IBM is hiring more brown people in India for very cheap to sustain the slow death process.
