Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

April 22 - Judgment Day

Massive layoff apocalypse incoming on April 22nd. It will be like Thanos snapping his fingers. Poof 15% of the US workforce will be gone.

A gnome up high in the COO organization has told me this. The chainsaw will be wielded to appease the market gods. Domestic workers will be sacrificed at the altar of a higher stock price and the number one priority of the c-suite: to increase the value of their stock grants.

Once they achieve their number one priority they will gaslight the world about the turnaround they achieved and ascend into super-rich guy heaven leaving the whole mess behind them.

Well today didn't happen. Your gnome fed you bad intel or you just made it up.
Still looking for some clarity on this comment
"they are batallion working on this"

is that slang? did Siri do that? I even checked urban dictionary and still was not able to tell what the heck you were talking about.

They positioned it well . Looking at the org charts, some bottom level managers are having 20 to 25 team members reporting under them. I guess they are ready.

it's a paycheck week so no. Anything more than a trickle happens each Tuesday following a payday, so in this case April 29 will be the next date.

Sounds more realistic for April 29th.

Troll and fake news. layoffs are a process... and there's only a certain amount of capacity for that process for each layoff date. there's never going to be some massive all-at-once layoff day. the machine just doesn't work that way.

I guess you have a 1 in 12 chance. However, no date has had massive number,. They rarely go over 1k. They'll continue to nickel and some it.

15% would be almost 30k and that definitely isn't happening. HR can barely handle the 1k they might do.

May 1st week or it might be earlier also . Workday has now an option to delegate the off boarding. Looks like IT folks are going be paraded first.

I hear it’s the 29th.

Nope. Totally wrong. There's a timing of all the layoffs that corresponds to back end payroll processes.

It would be great if truthful but it could never be. There would be too much business impact hence the slow cull will continue.

Maybe, but they won't be domestic employees, unless some kind of deal has been struck that requires it.

And then Wells will be an exclusively Indian company.

The fakest of fake news right now. Asset cap will be lifted later this year and we will need employees to start growing the business once again.
