GE like them young and d-mb. Easy to manipulate.
Sounds like life here in GE Vernova in Greenville. We have many highly skilled folks on the lower pay scale ,and now most newer employees have no experience. If you have an uneducated workforce how can you argue they are underpaid.
It's a great vacation spot.
You put the work where it makes sense to put it! It is not only labor costs, it can be because of local content requirements to get the order in the first place. AND now do to US Tariffs, it makes a lot of sense to avoid them if possible.
Everyone needs to keep working and pray for no layoff. Because you will end up back at McDonald and Dunkin’ Donuts making $13 an hour but it all starts when management engineers get cut loose. Dont drink the kool aid
We the local union make the better products in this industry. Granted a lot of newer hires have no real job skills they are just bodies collecting a check. All in all we still make the best products.
Sure. I also believe the earth is flat .
We are safe in Upstate NY tons of work flowing into the area resulting in unlimited overtime. The union could be better here but the company walks all over us now. The legacy rate and union are gone now. We need to stand up and bring better increases to the table like the legacy rates did in the past. It will not happen because most of the new hires came from making min wage at Jersey Mikes to making multi million dollar parts. Go figure that one out? We’ll no layoffs anytime soon tons of work for many many years to come
