Thread regarding U.S. Bank layoffs

Bait & Switch Recruitment Process

How many people here were hired under the guise of “Moments that matter”? This is where the recruiter or hiring manager told you that the only time you would be in the office would be for special events. Many of us accepted our job offers under this understanding. Many of us left full my remote jobs under this understanding. This is a clear case of bait and switch recruiting. If anyone is considering a job with U.S. Bank you might want to reconsider.

I’ve spoken to three recruiters so far who were baited to accept jobs here with the “Moments that Matter” line. . Look at how many recruiters that have been hired over the last year. Why would you lie to someone when making a job offer?

My manager was as shocked and mad as any of us. I would imagine recruiters were just as blindsided.

Are the recruiters and managers purposely telling candidates false information in order to fill positions? Are they that desperate?

I'm one of those people. Just started two weeks ago. They asked that I come in to the office for training for the first couple of weeks then I would largely be remote except for "moments that matter." Fair enough. Got to the office and discovered I was being trained remotely by someone halfway across the country, then the RTO email last week has me feeling like I've been bamboozled. To top it off they have me commuting to an office 45 minutes from where I live when there is another office much closer. Now that I've seen some of the TTUS results I'm thinking I've made a terrible mistake. At least my resume is up to date I guess.

I took a pay cut to work at USB because of the “moments that matter” promise. Now I have the word su---r imprinted on my forehead. Never going to refer anyone to work here.
