Thread regarding Honeywell International Inc. layoffs

What is happening to Honeywell?

Not a Honeywell employee but I ran into a current Honeywell SVP at an industry event and this bloke did not know what SCADA is.

@416+1jsb7abd9 Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) would be used in the controls side of the business- useful for chemical/manufacturing plants to allow operations to keep track of their multi-variable parameters to ensure quality and delivery of their product. Honeywell is large, so I imagine you can spend majority of your career in Aero and not see an Experion system in a chemical plant. Nonetheless, if the SVP is at a industrial automation event and does not know what SCADA is, this would continue to be a red flag

Hon has spent decades squeezing employees, suppliers and customers, they can't attract good talent anymore. Why would anyone want to spend all day dealing with unhappy customers and suppliers while getting paid peanuts? They are abusing the H1B system leading to a layer of yes men who are scared to jeopardize their visa status. This is a slow death spiral.

Probably an aero svp. There was an outbreak of scada recently at mn17 in the ISC org. Pretty contagious and misery for everyone.

Every HW person I meet at trade shows absolutely hate it there. All are asking if there are openings.

Who was the person and at what event? Not surprised but would like to know if this is from the Industrial Automation group.

Just hi your friends, no need to know anything. If that doesn't work, just hire somebody who acts like you. This is the only qualifications you need.
Do you know how push parts. Even if every part needs to be reworked two or three times. You're hired.
