Oh, and don't forget the guy in CIB (head of lending I think) that was gone in like a day. There are a few execs that were short lived in tech when Dillon was around or when SVB showed up that were gone (I want to say 18 or 19). Plenty of of old school tech leaders were shown the door as well- Dabney, Reimer and pretty much all the CIB tech leadership is no longer around. Over the years several consumer lending tech people came and went too.

Yeah-- several. Dillon, Iyer, head of Ent. Architecture and there are some recent people leaving that quite likely were told they were out the door. Keep in mind that many departures of people at exec levels are "purusing other opportunities" -- they either really did plan to leave or often are told they're out the door and should resign. Nobody wants being fired at the exec level on their record/resume.

A few years ago we lost a cybersecurity head who was only around a few months. His departure was abrupt and the CIO (Saul) only commented that such behavior is not tolerated. I'm guessing you can be horrible at your job but doing something socially unacceptable (no idea what it is) is likely to get you the immediate boot.

If the soon-to-be former employee has time to send a thank you email out to us underlings, then their parting was amicable. If they are radio silent then it usually means an Emergency Termination ART Request. If they remove any mention of their time at WF from their LinkedIn profile, then they really f--ked up.

Head of SACM under Tech Infrastructure was terminated a few years ago. Doubt that she was missed.

Absolutely yes - but often the "official" corporate communication states that they left for other opportunities, retired, etc. I know of at least 2 top executives in my group that were let go in my 20 years, but it was called something else.

SH left. He was researching platforms (no not mide, mode) before he left for Truist. Some do leave. Maybe he was exchanged for Bridget!?
Have you ever seen any principal engineers leave? Only the IC (individual contributors) get laid off.

THEY receive a golden parachute and call it retirement.

Head of CDEP was almost certainly let go - they never say that obviously.

TK was downgraded, after the D3I experiment failed to come to fruition. She is likely still over her head in this reduced role as well.

A lot of heads rolled between 2016 and 2020.

I was once accidently added to a meeting once about golden parachute packages for executives. So they don't get laid off per say, they resign, get glowing praise and move on to serve on a board of another company while being paid millions.

Scott Dillon was as close to an exec getting fired as I've seen.
