Provider Advocacy Mass Layoffs Today (pex). The team I was on was laid off except one Manager. Also on my way out got kicked in the teeth by being told my severance didn’t include total time at UHC but only with PeX. Way to crush someone even more.

You should not sign anything until the policy is confirmed. Should check into how related sister company moves factor into calculation. That could be a "why"
Who told you that? It's supposed to be years of service. What does your paperwork say?
