Are those who are being laid off losing their accrued PTO? I’ve been saving mine for vacation this summer but am wondering if I should be using it. I guess we can’t count on the 60 day notice from the WARN Act.

Seems they are only paying 40, I am taking my time, and only keeping a carry over of 40
If you resign you lose all your PTO.
Yup. I had alot accrued too. It su-ks.
I had 103 accrued hours. They are paying 40. BA$TARDS
The announcement of the VRSP was the 60 day notice. They said there if not enough took the offer there could be lay offs.
please use your pto now, unless you live in state that requires them to pay it out. They won't pay it. The WARN act is useless for a company like UHC where most are remote.
But PTO is paid out like a bonus - it gets taxed at a higher rate. If you can, use up your PTO before your last day. What little cash you get from it isn't worth it. Federal government gets most of it.
Use your pto. You'll only get 40 hrs if affected
UHC’s policy is to pay out up to 40 hrs of PTO if you are laid off, with the exception of if you live in a state where PTO payout is mandatory such as CA or CO, then you will get paid out for all the PTO accrued.
We will get paid for up to 40 hours of PTO.
I’m sure there are different offers, but I will lose 1/2 my PTO. UHC skirts the law with high priced lawyers and doesn’t report or give 60 days notice as required under the WARN Act. But, if 50+ people contact their state’s attorney general, they might be able to bring a case against UHC.
