Thread regarding ExxonMobil Corp. layoffs

Disgusted! Vile! Un-American!

If Exxonmobil has zero loyalty to American employees by off shoring to wherever. Maybe it is time for headquarters to get the he** out of the United States 🇺🇸 show loyalty or get out! Your American employees have stood by you for well over 100++ years! Do you have any loyalty or is your character on full display?

Rockefeller was the best at cost control...including offshoring. He started the Globalization of the US oil industry.

Yeah, this is just capitalism tho.
Why would a company pay mediocre american workers $100k+ when it can get more talented people do the same work for <60k/year?
This is globalization, you have to compete or stfu! HeeeHaww

@1bxm+1jsxAfai That’s not the point. It’s how the company is treating employees in HC10 locations including the USA and offshoring to low cost, low skill locations. And treated skilled positions as a commodity.

I understand your frustrations but the vast majority of ExxonMobil employees have been and are historically about 2/3 non-US employees.

Look up annual report of US and Non-US employees 65 - 70% are located outside the US.

It would be entertaining to have India sanctioned by US government for Russia collusion, military pact with Putin last week, increased buying of Russian oil, and offer to buy EM’s confiscated portion of Sakhalin One.

BTC usage stops instantly.

And let’s not let Western university’s off the hook including in the USA . These institutions enroll and take large amounts of money from foreign students often supported by their governments. These students are then often required to return home and work for 2-5 years in exchange for their education. ExxonMobil recruits these people to take your job an move it to a low cost country.

Your tax dollars are being used to fund universities to export your jobs overseas! Hold these greedy un-American universities accountable along with the politicians that allow this.

It is now spoiled with poor management. Hence very bad morale

The world is now a global work place. Spreading the workload is inevitable for obvious reasons. The heinous action is transferring American jobs without proper severance and gratitude and blaming the victims of the job losses. The enhanced PIP to save a few bucks is such a su---r punch to American employees it will forever go down in shame.

If it is jobs that can be more effectively and cheaply done elsewhere, then this is a part of being more competitive. That’s ok. However, tactics have been used to mislead management about the lack of effectiveness of some these efficiency ideas to lower costs. It seems every idea is a self fulfilling prophecy of success no matter how stupid it is. When management have no good ideas and is unable to lead, the “cop out” is to re-organize or to cut the workforce and offshore jobs.

For example, managers pressuring their people to under report or cover up excessive time spent on doing the work of or redoing work of unskilled labors or unqualified people. It doesn’t matter what country it is in, it is unethical.

The cost of doing business is also to support the local economies by using local labor to the best extent possible. Companies have an obligation to leave things better for the community than they arrive.

It is all about the Shareholders. Dubbs could care less of EM employees except for maybe TG.

If Exxonmobil doesn't want to be an American company then sell all their American assets and go to BTC ETC. Oh wait do they generate revenue? Have their own natural resources? Oh yes, cheap labor!

What about the loyalty from those of us around the rest of the planet? I understand your point, but perhaps you're not looking at this from more than a single perspective. Many thousands are being shafted at least as hard as our American friends.

Rockefeller's ghost will come out of the grave if we continue to outsource AMERICAN jobs to third-world countries.

Have you guys heard of Bangalore Management Center? Maybe we can replace our executive board with some Indians to save loads of $$$. At $100 oil no talent is needed, anyway.
