Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

I'm expecting a longer wait

The first week of November is upon us, who wants to bet that the ELT is going to find a way to postpone this further? Considering that this leadership is incompetent, something tells me they still haven't managed to decide exactly what they want to do and how to do it. Don't expect this to be over any time soon.

@kiw.. some BU's are well organized were other are just dragging their feet.

All BU's know by now their Q4 and 2023 budgets, so they know they have to cut BUT exercising with their as--s most likely the same way they run their business and the reason on why we need to let people go..

How were some places able to do the notifications earlier but the others take more time?

If enough folks volunteer it will help. Win/win.

I was informed already that I will be affected so now waiting for the official stuff most likely around mid-Nov.. The issue this time is the "bottoms up" approach rather than "tops down"(ELT) since each group will be the ones informing and making the final numbers to roll up ..

It does look like ELT has not set a deadline for each group to roll up these numbers which creates a lot of anxiety since now it has been official announced to all employees that there will., be reductions but HR Corp cannot commit to share a hard-core date until all BU's finish their work.

Death by a thousand cuts..

No waiting, it has started. New revelation is that those who out...Will need to fill out an application and get approved. They are worried about a repeat of 2016 brain drain.
If application is accepted, you'll get ISP, no redeployment pool.
Probably sign a waiver, not to sue.
