Thread regarding Ford layoffs

Great Job Ford with Trimming Staff SMH

Since the layoffs this summer, my team is doing way more with less, and yet the demand is way up. The conversations are constantly, “Why can’t you do this faster?” or “Why is our quality down?” with the remaining teams completely burned out.

“I want to hear about your problems,” says the CFO, and email me directly on ideas you have to make quality better.

Please. You can’t even get indoor restrooms for MAP, with a representative shaking and crying during the last town hall, trying to show courage on behalf of his team to get the request heard. And the best part? The response was some LL3 yayhoo standing up in front of Bill Ford saying, “Hey, if you aren’t getting heard, come directly to me and let’s talk.” Obviously the guy or team hasn’t been heard and had to go to a public townhall as a last resort.

This company’s culture is argumentative towards change - it takes constant meetings, presentations, etc to get people either to entertain change, or people do things of their own volition and get called out for going above and beyond their R&Rs because people won’t listen.

Given all of this, how can this company change at all?
