Thread regarding Ford layoffs

Detroit Free Ford Press finally had to publish it….

…so they asked Farley for his press release to print as “news:”

“No, Ford has not begun a new round of job cuts, the company told the Free Press on Monday. But the automaker has added a key update to its employee handbook affecting about 30,000 white-collar workers in the U.S. who are struggling to meet their job goals.”

@2llm+1jtZlOSl. That is pretty accurate. Low performers are created under the new system. The funny thing is, given the overall poor performance of the company, are there any LLs that can be considered an achiever?

Yes, there are jobs goals that need to be written up quarterly for each employee. In addition, there are “stretch goals” for each job goal. QUARTERLY. They are reviewed and I believe secretly rated. Problem was that additional projects creep in that were not on the goal list. ONE goal was not completed. BO-M - poor performer.

I doubt most even have actual job goals.

This explains why we give mediocre head coaches multi year contracts! Dan Campbell got a six year contract. Which means when they fire him for going 1-15 they'll have to pay him for 4 more years. Reward the underachievers!!

Its systemic with the Ford family. Ford=losing

Phoebe read this site, and edited her opening paragraphs, one reason I read this site is knowing Ford executives read it, too:

A thousand thumbs up: All underperformers are given easier jobs, they are the Quiet Quiters. The company rewards them with up to 9 months pay severance package.

Wow. Which id--t at Ford came up with this idea.

Elon will just fired them immediately.

At Ford, you are being rewarded if you are a poor performer. What a stupid company.
