I have given a very negative feedback for my manager in EOS as he has no leadership skills and very toxic.
As a second thought, I am scared what if MD or ED finds out?
Can it bring bad outcome for me? Anyone has any experience?

prior to my escaping - there was a set of rules that applied. if a manager had less than 5 directs, they would get the average ratings and any comments wouldn't be visible (however that manager's mgr could see the comments so there's one way info would not be anonymous). For larger teams, I believe managers could see all results. The comments are not (supposed to be) attributed to individuals, but even that has its limitations.
I am new to Chase.
I didn't submit a nice review for my manager. Can my manager find me out?
Will they share the results with the team
@44g not anonymous
No one wants to be the victim so that things will change. I am not going to risk my job so that things will change. The consensus on this page is that EOS is anonymous.
These EOS surveys should help chase eliminate bad outcome for the team , projects and as a whole to chase itself. Lot of bad middle management will be uncovered.
I am a manager and can reassure u that it is 100% anonymous. Even my manager would not know who said what. It is with honestly that things will change. I've witness that in the past. If no one speaks up, nothing will change or get better.
What type of fake ED are you, we are specifically told as EDs that we will find out, wtf are you on about. We'll in my dept. anyways.
I am an ED for the bank and the surveys are anonymous
I gave my manager completely negative feedback on this years EOS.
Impacted by RIF on March 26th. May 9th was my last day.
Happy that they still allowed me to fill it out while on notice.
My understanding is that the manager is supposed to receive the average rating for each category and of course all the comments for that category. If the manager of the manager wants to share more data they certainly can and it has happened.
I have not written any negative comments against my manager but I checked
radio buttons giving him worst ratings on several questions about him. I am also concerned if they are going to call me for discussion? My manager is VP.
Even the higher management (ED/MD) knows that their team has a d-mbest engineering manager who has zero tech skills. This person can’t answer a single thing on his own in meetings( he always put himself on mute , turns back and ask the guys who are his reportees around for their inputs and answers ), added to that he can’t even make a decision on his own. Just a manager by title but literally he is not even worth a scrum master or project manager. He also don’t know how to talk in front of higher management, what to share in public and what can be taken offline. Overall he is a toxic politics player. All he does is a secretary job. In such situation do they still keep such id--ts and run the business? If so can their titles be changed to project managers / scrum masters rather as these non tech gooses who only can keep asking the team , are you done with your story, close the sub task , create story etc etc. such a waste of time….they are credit hoggers and dramatic id--ts .. need to eliminate such middle management …
I would like to be able to say what I think with the hope that something will change. We all fear retaliation, so most of us just check the boxes and never leave a comment. This is what they want. They look good on paper.
Depends on the managers relationship to higher ups. If positive start looking for a new job NOW. If not, then causally look for a new job.
It depends on what you said and how you said it. If there are others who stated the same then you are probably fine.
Not really fear mongering, some of us have had EDs that we were honest about and then 1 month later, we see them fire you. I told an ED that a guy hated them and literally 2 weeks later that guy was fired based on some sh. reason. And everyone in the office knew thats what happened based on the reasoning that was given.
I have had many managers in my many years here with attrition. Some were great and some were horrible. When the EOS came around, I was truthful on both the good and the bad. One I gave a scathing review. And you know what, I am still here almost 20 years later. No retaliation, no talks. What I did notice is that the one I gave the scathing review, some teammates fessed up that they did the same thing. That manager had to take classes on how to be an effective leader. They are still there, and they are better at their job. I love the fear mongers on here.
Did this in 2022, my Korean ED rooted me out and kicked me out. Best of luck, start job searching
Ok
you will be in big trouble, if they find you out.
@op
you shuld not have written anything bad for manager on eos. they will find u out.
No it brings a bad outcome for the manager, not you, they cannot fight back on it, unless you negatively said it to an ed or MD. If it's vp than you are fine. What has your manager done for you to say that about them.
