I actually did, yes - especially the part where you're assigned to a career counselor or whatever. I used it more as a mental-health resource (like, having a professional in my corner to cheer me on, give me tough love when needed, and to hold me accountable to myself). I used their resources to keep my brain in Job Mode. But yeah, having a non family member whose job it was to support me was actually pretty nice a few times. Seeing someone face to face over video calls helped me get out of my head.

Highly recommend chatgpt for resume help - adding keywords, refining cover letters. LHH even has a module on using AI in your job search. Lifesaver when you're potentially applying to a bunch of jobs.

Like with anything else, you get what you put into it. I had a wonderful coach who provided me with tough love. If you’re ready to do job hunting full time, then the LHH resources are going to be of big help. Take advantage of the live training. Engage with the trainer. Good luck!!

One of LHH's functions is employee placement. Companies come to them and say 'Here is an opening we have, please help us find someone'. What LHH recruiters on the call stated is those companies are more frequently bringing roles that are in-office, or possibly hybrid. But the volume of hybrid and full remote is dropping. And the companies are saying that is their future. Doesn't mean every company.

I am not an LHH employee and I do not speak for them. Just some takes from a 'Hiring in the US' call a couple weeks ago.

I interviewed with a company whose LOB could easily be remote or hybrid. They made it clear in the interview they have zero plans to go either in the future. They have minimal remote access functionality for systems people, but that is it. A way to hit Reset in the night...

I appreciated the resume review and the free access to training. That said, I've been working on data analytics and AI training and certs on my own so I really haven't utilized the free training.

Some reps are good... some are bad. I had to change the first rep. Some of the stuff you should be doing now. All WF employees should be put on notice. When the economy goes into a recession good ole CS will have planned for this contingency. Yes there will be a h. u. g. ge layoff. So IMO all should be quietly quitting, working on their career, and that means learning AI (this includes everyone especially if you are in tech). You can learn AI and get your resume updated at the same time. Use gemini, claude, chatgpt and enter prompt "Help me get a job. Here is my current resume " When you get the interview you can ask to help you by giving you interview questions. I completely ignored their emails and then someone tried to add me on LinkedIn from LHH. I thought that was kind of cool.

Still, I never used the service, but I think it can be a benefit if used.

@a3+1jtk591bz what did they say? WFH is becoming restricted?

Yes.

My rep has been very helpful. Not only as source of info and suggestions when it comes to looking for a job, but also because they have been a shoulder and positive voice without being phony or forced.

And some of the information has been very helpful and interesting. Many here don't like it, but I am the one who posted a couple of weeks ago on the future of WFH, according to LHH's employees conversations with hiring companies. BTW, also hearing the same thing from the outside placement and contract companies.

And, hey... like many things you get from it what you put into it.
