Thread regarding Bank of America layoffs

Can someone explain how the RFID chip in the badge?

What makes it better than our existing badge? 🧐 Is supposed to ping a sensor whenever I move around the building?

@OP I am pretty certain these new RFID badges are tracking when you exit now. The old IDs didn't. I have a RFID blocking wallet and now the turnstyles won't open unless I expose my ID when I exit.

I have heard that going to the new chip-based badge will allow better tracking with readers inside the building. I have heard that folks would swipe their badge at the entrance and then sneak out if the back door. I heard the chip was being implemented to better track if employees are actually staying in the office.

What's weird is I don't have to pull mine out of my RFID blocker to badge in but I do when I try to use the copier.

Seems "DEI id--t" is a current racial slur that seems to be acceptable.

Bank of America should strictly enforce some kind of tracking and swipe in/out procedures. I see bunch of DEI id**ts coffee badging and come around 11 and leave after lunch.

Once upon a time I would show my badge to the guard, or he would see it pinned visibly. I may have needed to sign in, too. (Aerospace, secure.) Then I put it in a slot. Then I slapped it on the reader. Some or all of those were recorded. Now anything different?

I think that it will be tracking where you log in; so tracking those badge swipes. Perhaps to cut down on ppl that badge in and leave. Not 100% on that though

Can someone explain how the RFID chip in the badge?

  • -- It is very similar to RFID chip in Credit Card

What makes it better than our existing badge?

  • -- It is more secure and someone wants to make money on this new design.

Is supposed to ping a sensor whenever I move around the building?

  • --No, not at all. It it does, lawsuits coming

Same with me. I have been using RFID blocking holder and security smile every time I pull my badge out at the entrance. 🤣

Mine won’t because it’s in a rdif blocker badge holder. Have to pull it out to swipe but I’m ok with that!

It reads your tone of voice and monitors conversation tone.
Sociometers are wearable electronic sensing devices that look like ID badges. The badges have a built-in microphone and sensors that collect data on how people interact.
