That's why they have a small army of accountants.
The division I worked for, the place seemed to be on life support. That site used to make a lot of money building stuff, but that part of business had dwindled to a fraction of its former value and there was nothing replacing it. Yet the division president somehow showed a profit every year.
This sounds like a fishing trip.
If you are aware of fraud though I would encourage you to report it. Don't cover for management. We are tax payers too, please don't waste our money on inept leadership.
