Rehire Eligibility

I was recently displaced. How is rehire eligibility determined. Does the manager who displaced you have any say? Thanks.

You would not be marked as non-rehire eligible for a displacement. To be marked as a non-rehire code, you would have need to have been terminated OR they would have to find out about something you did while still employed that was egregious after displacement. Even for most terminations, people are not marked as non-rehire eligible. For example, terminated because you didn't meet performance metrics? Rehire eligible. Terminated because you missed too many days? Rehire eligible. Job abandonment (not showing up for 3 days or more and not contacting your manager) and misconduct (theft, falsification, sales practice violation, etc.) are the biggies for being marked as non-rehire eligible. Otherwise, you are good.

I doubt there's anything in writing, but Shart does not want 'legacy wells' people back. He already paid a lot of money to get rid of you and doesn't want to go through that again. He wants us all gone so he can build a bank in his image, populated by (mostly foreign) people that don't remember what it's like to work for a good bank.
