AI counting mouse clicks

Just a heads up they are counting mouse clicks in hopes of letting someone go instead of paying severance

Good thing I just clicked my mouse 500 times whew! That was tough work right there. Also, pro tip, open a doc and tape the keys down. Cheers!

I don’t know if it’s tracking mouse clicks specifically, but there are people getting dinged for not putting enough hours of work in on specific days. It doesn’t seem to matter if they are at someone else’s desk discussing an issue.

I only use my keyboard.

If you believe this is happening, you’re either a troll or an id--t. I don’t know which one’s better. Any commercial software used to track employees is going to be identifiable in the process manager. Don’t come back and say that its stealth - because how would it possibly pass compliance and how would you differentiate between an intruder and legitimate processes if that was the case? Now go profile all the processes that are running on your laptop and tell me which process is touching you.

AI would think I did nothing today because I spent all day learning outside of WF systems. Every single thing I did was training to be a better software engineer, but WF would see me as doing almost nothing today.

I've even told my manager that I don't have enough to do, so I'm doubling-down on learning marketable skills.

I think it was to measure in office time - probly a false alarm

I always double click hyperlinks and buttons for good measure. This is why I'm so productive.

You can get an amazing amount of stuff from Jira.

They are tracking more than mouse clicks on everyone and are analyzing each person’s digital activity relative to those in a similar role. For those that don’t appear as busy as others, HR is bringing that to the attention of the leaders in their respective areas.

They've been counting clicks and keystrokes for 20 years.

So what’s the name of the software that they’re using? AI is a buzz word boomers used when they don’t know what they’re talking about.

For hourly folks maybe. But some analytical work cannot be measured with clicks 🤦‍♀️

This is an accurate statement, but not sure it applies to all positions.
