Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

San Ramon Severance length?

If you are in San Ramon and not moving to Dallas is the max severance still 6 months? For anyone with over 20 years service.
Rumor has it the max severance is now 3 months.

Just got 5/12. 2 weeks from notification to last payroll date. MR75 here got 6 months pay, 6 months subsidized medical, Cobra for 12 after that and the the “opportunity” to pay full rate for the cr-ppy medical company provides. Rate they charge is about same or more so I’ll get real insurance that has a real coverage at that time

It’s not the health insurance that was a big deal in 2021, the lump sum pension rate was the real reason people should have jumped in 2021, within two years mine was down $200,000

“ Sooo many people missed that boat that should have jumped on it and are kicking themselves. They were holding out for a package that never “

I was MR 75 then. Didn’t go. Still here making good money. Not waiting for any package. There are no packages. Have colleagues that left to keep the subpar pre Medicare insurance subsidy.

People make it sound as if this is the 80s, and this was some Cadillac, zero deductible HMO medical insurance you’d be forfeiting if you didn’t leave. It ain’t. It’s the same subpar HDHP excr-ment you have. You can probably come close or beat it on your own on the Marketplace.

“ they did away with Pre-Medicare healthcare...They made it a point that if you didn't leave the company by the end of December in 2021 (if I recall correctly) you wouldn't be eligible.”

Sooo many people missed that boat that should have jumped on it and are kicking themselves. They were holding out for a package that never comes.

You think severance policies differ depending on location?

I suspect you're not even really an employee.

Rumors...? Sheesh, look up the policies on HR OneStop. If the company was going to do that, I would expect they would make it known, similar to when they did away with Pre-Medicare healthcare...They made it a point that if you didn't leave the company by the end of December in 2021 (if I recall correctly) you wouldn't be eligible. I'm sure that drove a lot of people who had met MR75, left by then...

Why are you listening to rumors? The Severance Policies are unchanged, and are available to everyone to view on HR OneStop.

Don’t believe rumors, read company policies. They can always change it.
