Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

Job here is a temporary affair

Five years in, and I still see it that way. We’ve been dealing with nonstop rolling layoffs for a long time, along with a range of tactics clearly aimed at getting people to leave, ideally with little or no cost for WF. Turnover is high, and the unspoken age cutoff for being seen as “convenient” keeps dropping. I’m giving it another year or two - if I make it through the layoffs - just to ride out the economic storm. After that, I’ll make sure to find something better.

I was offered a job many times when I was a contractor. I said no and left, just to go to another company that is doing mass layoffs. The grass is not greener. Corporate America is just short-term greed that has no future.

I've worked in 4 different banks but WF has been the worst ever. Manager's are afraid of their own position therefore lack of willingness to support their operations team. As an HLP, It was a struggle every day, either with mgmt, sales and unrealistic pipeline reports.

Who says the economic storm is going to last two years?

WF has been my "until I find something better" job for over 2 decades.

Totally with you! By far the worst work experience of my life and I’ve encountered some doozies before coming here. In my mind it’s beyond salvageable or will be at some point if this continues like this. Working to get the heck out of here myself.
