Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

Have you relocated by WF and then let go

Trying to decide if I should take the relo offer or severance. Have you or do you know anyone who relocated and were still let go?

Being in a hub guarantees zero job security. Uprooting your life to move to a hub will only hurt even more. My former team, a hub employee was let go and remote employees got to stay. Let that sink in.

happens all the time. relocation doesn't immunize you against displacement.

can anyone tell us what is ballpark lump sum relo? P4/P5/M3 (mid level managers). Are they offering it these days? I have heard anywhere from $30k to $60K based on distance of move and job family. Heard this first-hand from the recruiter.
For fresh grads P1/P2 it is 10K lumpsum. That, i know as first hand too.

Last year at least in the severance plan it specified that if you accepted relo and were displaced within the 12 months following your move, wells would reimburse for your move back. Who knows how legit that is though.

Or like a friend of mine told it to a Social Security rep during a 3-year follow-up re: his below-the-knee amputation...

What is a little misleading is that it isn't disclosed anywhere until after you receive an accommodation approval that thr accommodation is separate from location strategy. Shouldnt that be mentioned beforehand?

I'm surprised that this isn't brought up more than it is or even in the media somehow considering how many people are being inpacted. I don't hear anything...
One would believe that if someone has a life long issue and the effects are permanent, you had/have and existing accommodation, lets say work from home, okay then it should carry on to the next location. Not everybody can live near a hub....but someone else shared that they read somewhere that there isnt a mileage rule anymore and all existing accomodations will be honored. I know of many great folks left because they were told that it wouldn't work anymore even with valid medical information.

I still don't understand how updated documentation has to be provided every so often with something that does not get better...

Ask yourself this question and I think you'll have your answer....

You seriously believe and trust this bunch to honor a relocation and then will value your daily commitment and contributions after the relocation?

If you read the posts on this board, you will find out that multiple people have been relocated and then let go a few months later. So you decide.
