T’s total headcount is down 12.5% year over year, not quite 75%. But at this rate , no of us look to be around very long.

Dude, you're dreaming! The layoffs that everyone anticipates are not going to be as bad as everyone thinks. It'll be mostly attrition over the next few years with pockets of layoffs here and there. It will not be as dramatic as we all think!

Technicians in out of region states are safe and will definitely not be at risk! Techs are in demand in OOR areas cuz the work is booming. So, OP, you’re wrong when you state that no one is safe anywhere! Currently, there’s more work than techs, so how do you layoff under those circumstances!

That’s great. I hope you and every other white hair does too. The company still needs techs regardless just not as many, but if they cut any deeper they are going to be cutting into muscle and bone like a recent article stated. They can spend billions on severance for for a lot of 18-25 year employees and damn near chop there leg off or they can pay about the same and trim down the fat that’s just “riding it out”. Congratulations, some of y’all may just get a nice severance.That’s the decision the company has no matter how you look at the numbers.

Keep thinking that. AT&T doesn't care. If you are low in seniority, you will always be at risk. This is the AT&T way.

I'm just short of 40 years and have no plans to go anywhere. I'll work until I'm at least SS eligible and leave with a smile! I control my own destiny with my seniority,, not AT&T. They will have to offer me an VTP to leave. Either way, I get a nice severance package!

The company will be stripped and business units sold. Most will go to venture groups looking to pull as much revenue out and then abandon. The remaining small pieces will operate on a scale of 1/5th current total headcount. T is dissolving before your eyes.....silly lemmings.

Bull sheeeet!!! There are way more with less than 25 years than with over 25. I am sure the company would much rather the white heads roll out rather than the ones who still need this career and are motivated. Most who have over 25 at Bell are just present.
