I'll take the 'garden leave' from the German package and the 'free cake' from one in US w/ voluntary layoff packages...

5 week for each year of service in Germany?? Crazy, no wonder Germany / EU is going down the sh----r.

For readers that might not know the term..

Garden leave is like Your administrative leave. Basically paid to stay at home and no work required.

It sucks that, when there are layoffs, this layoff-related board is useless due to a small number of ex-intel trolls that can’t move on with their lives.

  1. 5 years of pay per week of service and a 12 month fully paid Mediterranean vacation

Last package was 5 weeks per year of service capped at 15years plus gardening leave of 1 or 2 months and external jobs services.

Probably very similar again as they mentioned matching standards per geo locations which the have set examples of in 2016.

Das ist ein großes Problem. Deutschland hat Mangel an deutschen Bauarbeitern. Deutschland muss sie aus anderen Ländern holen. Aber um reinzukommen, musst du technisches Geschick nachweisen und natürlich Deutsch sprechen.

What, 3,000 employees in Intel Germany? The new fab is supposed to take 7,000 workers to build. Pat's recent interview said he is shifting costs from some areas into building the new fabs in Ohio and Germany. Shovel ready jobs... maybe you can transfer over to the construction team?
