10 reasons why you feel good buying an electric F150!

They are super fast.
They are quiet.
They dont require gasoline.
You can drive by gas stations and smile.

When it has been obvious for years that the U.S. electrical grid is incapable of sustaining wholesale conversion to EV cars . . . and that precious little is being done to MANDATE improvement of the electrical generation and grid capacity in the U.S., you have to jump to the conclusion that the real motivation here is NOT to get everybody to drive a greenie car.

The motivation here is to set the peasants back to walking.

Spending $30,000 for a new battery pack in 7 to 10 years makes me feel real good.

Knowing that heavy diesel equipment polluting the environment thousands of times worse than car is mining lithium and other battery metals.

Knowing that dead battery packs full of deadly & highly flammable & toxic metals will an environmental nightmare in 10 years.

Sure! Sign me up!

1adj+1jvNxiIb. You are a sharp one, aren't you? 41 miles per day? Are you looking at the Lightning as a daily commute vehicle? There are a lot better options for that purpose.

And in 7-10 years you get to pay $28,000 or $35,000 for a new battery pack!

What a great investment!

Hey Einstein,
Assuming you drive 15,000 miles in a year, that equates to about 41 miles per day. Of course there are time that you may need to drive more that 120 miles per day but those are rare. I’ll take my Lightning please…..

Range is cut in half in winter so you can only drive 120 miles (on the base model). With that short of a range, you can't drive far so you might as well enjoy that fireplace and spending time with your loved ones.

Look what happened when Harley Davidson made electric motorcycles. That lasted about a year.

Have you seen the 30k plus cost for new battery?
This is all about money.
Wait til we see what all the strip mining and settling ponds and heavy metals getting into the human body how much we like all the great battery technology.
ICE now.
PHEV's for transition.
Hydrogen for the future!
Batteries can be used for what they are useful for, short distance fleet application.
Anyone that thinks that a battery works for pickup trucks and transport trucks is further proof that crack does not smoke it self.

We won't have much of a future if we don't act now by transforming to an electric and digital mobility future.

Government officials are not blindly enacting legislation to push electrified mobility. They do meet with the automotive companies and their leadership teams to keep on a sustainable track.

@acy+1jvNxiIb they are afraid of losing their jobs so won't discuss these things. They just want to fool you and hope that you believe them blindly.

EV's will eventually fill certain transportation needs, the real problem is permitting government officials to enact policies they have no education or experience to do so.
"Punishing" society into buying (or renting) EV's is a terrible policy path to pursue.

This post is filled with misinformation. If any of these points were true, wouldn't you think Ford executive leadership would discuss with us?

I was in Doug Field's townhall yesterday and didn't hear any discussion of the controversial statements made in these comments.

When the laws and mandates say that private planes & jets must be all electric, then you can take the green agenda seriously. Since that will never happen, resist these blatant attempts at re-enserfment.

Nothing remotely green about Lithium batteries. The mining, the refining, the resulting carbon print to produce the EV pwr cells is enormous.

The electrical grid can barely support the load of a cold winter or hot summer. One EMP event and EVs become useless and the US is back to horse and buggy days.

EV mandates are idoicy until the grid is able to withstand Yuge additional loads. EVs are Another scam dreamed up by Climate Change proponents, who brought you Covid lockdowns to further their 2030 Agenda. Convince me I wrong
