Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

Retired....yes!

Well after 25 years as a tech in Chicago, I was able to find another job. This company has been very good to me for the most part. I just couldn't take it anymore. My mental health is more important to me. Now I will see if I can get a second pension without all the BS!

I opened my own company and it does is offer pensions. My company name is PensionCo. Business model is straight and forward. Each of employee come to work for PensionCo but there is not work you must do. It is contractor employee with no tasking. Contractor employee then comes to pay into said pension fund. After such of time, more and again more employee comes to pay into said pension fund.
We do the submitting of pension balance on monthly basis. At 10 years time PensionCo will give 100 thousand bonus added to pension. On year 9 and 9 months and 9 days and 9 hours and 9 minutes comes, we fire you from PensionCo. and you only get principal money you did save at PensionCo pension contribution. We keep all pension money profits from holding the money over 9 years.

I'd be surprised if there are companies still offering pensions. Last I looked, only government and teachers. But there are some great 401ks out there. Best of luck.

I still have health insurance unlike the managers and many other benefits while on payroll with work rules that didn’t force me to move States away like the RTO relocation plan. Union dues were well worth it, stop being a hater.

Think about all the money you paid into your flunky union that tossed your a$$ out on the street, selling you out to this sl--e all company.
