How is accrued PTO valued in a payout?

If I have 15 days that should be worth a bit under 3/4 of a month of base salary since most mos are ~ 21 working days. Or equivalently it’s 15 * annual salary / (250 working days / yr). (?)

But there could be all kinds of other funky math that is done.

Wow, lots of complication here.

If you get paid biweekly you get paid for 10 days of work (or PTO). So a 15 day PTO would be 1.5 times your usual biweekly paycheck. You’re welcome

This is why everything at the bank is convoluted and poorly designed.. Nobody can simplify even the easiest calculation. Each paycheck is 10 Business days whether they are a holiday or not. That’s 1 paycheck. So how many paychecks is 15 days?

No, community service and personal holidays are not paid out. In general, always use your personal days before PTO because of that.

I'm not in a state that requires separate sick days, but I would imagine they are paid out like PTO.

26 x 80. Then, subtract this from your base salary. Then, multi this by the number of accrued hours you will have at the end of your notice period.

26 represents # of pay period. 80 represents the 2 x 40 hour work weeks in each period.

: @a3+1jvn5ga9 I believe that’s a little too generous. Each 26 is equal to 2 weeks/80 hours not 40/1 week. You don’t work 26 40 hour weeks. You work 52 40 hour weeks and get paid 26 times.

When doing your math, just make sure those days are already accrued after your 60 day notice is up. Also, I don't believe they pay sick days or community service days -not sure about personal holidays. Perhaps someone can chime in on that.
Some people I know who felt threatened to be laid off took their comm service and some sick time at the beginning of the year so they wouldn't lose them if laid off suddenly.

your pay is based on 26 weeks per year, take 26*40 then divide that by your base pay to her your hourly wage then multiply that by the number of accrued hours you have.
