Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

Is severance paid on the same schedule as normal payroll?

I expected a severance check today and so far nothing in my account. Did I miss a detail? HR line is closed until Tuesday, and a bit worried, I need that money for my family. Does anyone happen to know? please no snarky responses. I am stressed out. Thanks

The first week on severance you don't get a check, it's made up the following week. After that you are on the same pay schedule. The transition period from notice period to severance period is the only delay.

You should have received pay last week with PTO payoff. Then checks will start next week.

Should be on same pay cycle unless you decided on lump sum. Hang in there, and try not to stress.

The severance starts a week or so after you expect it and then pays out every two weeks like clockwork. But the first check was a week after I expected it. I remember my manager texting all of us to let us know.
