@j2 you were laid off for efficiency reasons, not location

Just got laid off today. I was in personal lending based in Charlotte, NC. Five people on my team (that I know of were laid off) not sure of the total amount. We have teams in Chandler, St. Louis Park, and Manila as well.

HY doesn't care about quarterly reporting when it comes to headcount. Their plan is going to take a decade to fully implement and they are well aware of the long term nature of the timeline.

Front line auto finance and second level (quality monitoring) is LONG overdue for an heave ho. All functions are basically done in Manila now and the US has quit filling roles and is operating on a skeleton crew… who takes a backseat to Manila now anyway.

a holiday will not keep them from laying you off . and given most are given 60 day non work, anyone laid off after the beginning of May would still be on the q2 books.

I thought there was something about a Tuesday following a holiday (but not immediately following a payday) that would mean there would not be a huge incidence of layoffs. (logistics) so… no big wave? Maybe some one-offs. May 25 means you’re off the books beyond Q2, so no motivation there either.
