I would quit on Verizon tomorrow if I didn't have to put food on that there table.

Once you’re on a performance improvement plan at vz, which happens most often in sales, the metrics they require you to meet are impossible. They just want you out at that point.
duh
The pip isn't off the table if you're a good employee. Search online for "Amazon pip" companies can we-ponize it to get rid of anyone. They'll set you up with impossible goals, provide no support, document your failure, and send you on your way with no legal recourse.
That doesn't happen here now but they could easily start.
Yeah it's almost like you just want to stay on this train to see where it goes and say you were there when it fly's off the tracks, crashes and burns. If you have tenure here you're pretty over paid for how stupid the job is.
Why quit? The way I see it at this point its a game of chicken. Either You quit or get laid off or let go after a PIP process. Assuming you are a good worker the PIP is off the table. But if Verizon causes the termination then you get a Severance in case of a layoff and unemployment if you are let go unless you do something crazy/stupid.
Personally I’m playing that game of chicken till I get a severance or I get PIPed out but I get it you need to provide for a family so I hope you find some thing better but I don’t think VZ will get any better.
Why?
