Why is Senior Leadership and the People Team Not Focused on People Problems?!?!

Senior leadership and the People Team are failing to address ongoing workplace policy and quality of life concerns, leading to a toxic culture and eroding trust. Their lack of meaningful communication and engagement—especially during key forums—shows an obvious disregard for employees’ needs. Without genuine leadership involvement, efforts to improve culture feel more like empty obligations than intentional change.

True cultural transformation requires leadership interaction at all levels, ensuring consistency and widespread adoption of key initiatives like DEI and strategic execution models. A strong company culture is built on relentless effort, clear goals, and the motivation to overcome challenges. There is a connection between Strategy and Culture that is being overlooked in current cost cutting moves.

Ignoring problems only deepens fear, weakens trust, and undermines business success. Leadership must acknowledge failures, foster collaboration, and embrace constructive feedback. Without these changes, the company risks long-term damage. Recovering from poor decisions will take years—especially when ineffective leadership exits with little accountability.

Clearly, the feedback, if only from this third-party site, is that intentional senior leadership initiatives designed to lower cost and reduce headcount are ruining this once proud and great company culture. As long as these board-level initiatives continue to play out, it will take years to recover once the G-man C-suite stooges do their dirty deeds and take their bags and run as expected. The clock is ticking. Next, please!

@kt I am part of the People Team. I am not a lawyer and fight harder than you know for ees. Every policy change..every benefit change affect us as well. We are not exempt from the layoffs or being understaffed. The working 10 - 12 hr days, weekends and holidays.

we honestly have no power to do anything and half of us are trying to leave too. if you’re not an MD, forget it. It is gutting to watch leadership play with people’s lives. Echoing the sentiment that SH doesn’t care what is illegal and what is not.

Simple answer...they don't care. They care about the stock price and meeting displacement numbers to get their big bonuses. While the rest of us get the shaft.

2 words: Stock Price.

Lots of the People Team I spoke to are aghast at what’s happening. They have never seen anything like it, but they too are stuck in this. The directive is coming from the EC and EC-1 / 2. Everyone is just scared to say anything and risk losing their job. The Company is in a massive hole and it’s one that will be very difficult to climb out from. It’s a massive implosion and it’s getting stronger. Morale is rock bottom, even here in the People Team. We hate whats happening, but we are stuck between a rock and a hard place. Trust me …we see it and hate it.

The person in charge, Shannon, who reports directly to Robin has no problem with doing things that are illegal. She has openly told her reports that no one with a medical accommodation is allowed internal promotion and that they should be actively managed out. They then disseminate that directive down the chain.

Let that sink in. People with disabilities are being targeted by Robin and the head of HR/People Solutions.

Someone needs to get some morals and come forward with the evidence so we can petition the board to get rid of Shannon and Robin.

What do you mean that the people HR team and senior leadership aren’t focused on people problems? Of course they are! To our senior leadrship and HR people team, the people are a problem. All of us in their view are expenses and excess. We cost too much. We don’t do miracles. We don’t work 24x7. We take up too much room. HR and sr. Mgmt view us as biological surplus tools. Oh, and they don’t like us or respect us either. Do you now understand what and who they view as problems that need fixing? You did get the stooges doing dirty deeds part right.

The People Team are barely in half the time. In Manchester, many rock up around 10 then disappear by 4 to do the school run. That's if they even turn up at all. HR be the ones telling ppl, you need to come in 4 days a week but they'll be the ones abusing in-office exceptions to the max to get round it (especially that team that is led by a manager based in Poland).

They don't care. They need to pump up the stock price until it meets their bonus criteria, then they can take the money and run.
If the company collapses after they leave, oh well, it wasn't their fault. Look how much the stock price rose when they were running things!
