Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

Townhall Question

Think we can get Chuckles to answer this question?

"We noticed that there is a $10,000 bonus to employees who refer outside candidates who then get the role. Would it be in Wells Fargo's benefit to instead lift the RTO policy that has caused this hiring issue and allow better candidates outside of the hub footprints?"

Perfect post. All I will add is this:

  1. This executive team cares about nothing but getting people to leave without paying severance, so making people miserable is a key element of their strategy, not an unfortunate side effect.
  1. This executive team believes that long term employees are tainted with scandal, even if they had nothing to do with any scandal, so if they can get rid of the guy that's worked here 20 years and replace him with an external (preferably jpm) candidate, it's worth it even if they cost a little more $.

This hiring problem is the full responsibility of the executive suite, the CEO, and the board. Let's not get confused. Contributing factors include RTO, re-calibration, off-shoring, reducing benefits to employees (new titles less comphension, quarterly to yearly 401k matching, removal of bonus targets, no raises, evaluations based on everyone with same title, etc), not promoting internal employees, recruiter (and now employee) bonuses for external hires, the mismanaged implementation of DE&I that is being forced upon us because of the racist CEO, poor technology implementation, asset cap and consent order, the list goes on and on. Inability to attract talent 'cheaply' (does not seem to apply to executives) is a leadership problem. We had talent. Instead of harvesting that talent, leadership chose to dehumanize everyone who was not an executive (during the Great Resignation nonetheless), and the talent left (surprised pikachu face).
