Does anyone know if layoffs can happen on opposite weeks that aren’t the Tuesday after payday

Possible, but not common.
Someone told me there was a place called wek or something like that where they could find lots of people who are going to be out of work

@OP There have been anecdotal reports of offcycle layoffs, yes. It seems uncommon, but possible.
