That's what happens when you hollow out the regulatory state and bribe politicians. The removal of risk controls just shows they never actually cared about doing the right thing.

+@OP "How long until the next scandal?". I don't think you have to wait. I see it happening right now in this so-called "efficiency" program. CS and company have just changed the target of their abuse from the client to their employees.

nothing is ever good enough for people. First it's we'll never get the cap lifted, now it's lifted and it's it wasn't fast enough, it what next. Just appreciate for a minute that we are finally out of the dog house and can start running the firm on our terms. are we going to do things perfect all the time, probably not, no one ever does.
