Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

Tim Sloan gave folks 50 shares

That's like twice as much as what Charlie is giving, they used to give more than that in the extra 401k match. Heads up as well BofA has been giving their employees far more every year for the last 8-9 years. Add to that everyone's career here has had no growth unless you were an Indian, sky's the limit then for Indians exploiting Indians.

Need to remember Sloan only gave the award to people making less than $75k or something like that, not everyone. As for the taxes, the government always gets their money. For those of us that are eligible for retirement, in November you will get hit with a Social Security and Medicare withholding, but you don’t have to pay it when they vest in 3 years.

@ar+
If you get 2K in stock today that's taxed as well is it not? So net net Tim still gave us about 2X. The prior management was much better in sharing financial rewards.

50 shares gross...37 shares after taxes for me. WF shares were at about $41 at the time, then the bottom of the market dropped due to COVID. Eventually the price climbed up around $60. I pulled the plug and sold at $52.

The $2k in shares now at the current price is about 26 shares...

I’m sure all the former employees who worked their as--s off, then we’re displaced due to “location strategies” are overwhelmed with joy..

Did you hear that they aren't automatically vested, wait and see how long... I still have some for the 50 which ended up as 31 because they took taxes.

I think the shares were about $50 at the time. Twice as much is just a bit of an exaggeration

Tim Sloan dragged his feet on the Consent orders and driving true reform. He was in charge when the asset cap was placed on us out of frustration we were not doing enough to fix the company. So, let's keep it straight about who did what.

They throw crumbs to the workers who made it happen while gorging themselves on the profits - disgusting.

And everyone used to get that profit sharing / share award. Then Shart did away with it…
