Breaking NEWS! ALL 5 day RTO halted effective immediately!!!!

Wow somebody must have filed a lawsuit with some teeth to it. All 5 day RTO halted effective immediately. Announcement forthcoming Friday Morning!!!!
Someone must have got caught targeting and separating employees in groups for 3 day versus 5 day RTO. Now they want to hide it by classifying everyone as 3 day RTO.

This forum is going to go crazy with this red meat!!!!!!!

There were many unfair layoff related to RTO and presence report issues this year, what they will do with them, will they mark them rehire eligible as now these things looks partial to those who got impacted.

Most people adjust. In this case, the employee base is adjusting by working less hours and caring less about the company. To use a euphamisim, Stankey has managed to create a culture in which "the passengers hope the plane crashes so the pilot will be ki-led". I get my commute time back by reducing my office hours to no more than 40. 8 & skate, it can wait. Great job to Stankey and the people who support his ego.

@e7 you took the words right out of my mouth. Going to the office isn’t the issue. The office conditions are. Not enough parking, desks or focus areas with a tiny modicum of privacy. I can’t sit with the people I’m most likely to “collaborate “ with and everyone around me is on calls the entire day. I spend 90% of every day with noise cancelling headphones on to drown them out. It’s asinine. They are trying to drive people out instead of doing their jobs and laying off poor performers. Our first day back to 5 days a week was also the first day of employee appreciation week. What a joke.

That is a different issue. In the past there were two actions . . . RTO (return to office) and FTW (follow the work). For some reason, this time around the two actions have gotten meshed together under the moniker of RTO. Regardless of the FTW, the company needs to provide workspace for all of us when we get to the office, where ever it is.

Very likely some groups got a delay or reprieve again. Just goes to show those of us that have been 5x for a while now are being targeted for reductions. It makes 0 sense to be in the office that much. I have had 0 face to face or team meetings in the 6 months we’ve been 5x, nor did I have any face to face or team meetings during the prior 3x and I’m in Atlanta. We were fully remote long before covid. The only way this makes sense is if you are trying to run off people.

CSO groups at Lenox, Alpharetta, and NJ have been told they can stay at 3 days. Lenox and Alpharetta were scheduled to go to 5 days next week, so that's a backpedal.
Note IDK if this applies to all of CSO, just those 3 locations, or just certain groups. YMMV

News flash, (this may be hard for you to understand) that’s not how things work anymore. The world changes and requirements also change. If you “just” retired then you know all work is done via MS teams and ZERO in person face to face meetings. So why be in an office?

I just retired and think this is funny. Used to go to the office 5 days a week and we were doing great. Making money, customers were happy and great friends in the office. Now the workplace su-ks, every finds a reason not to come in, customers are pi---d and profits are in question. The next generation doesn’t seem to want to work for their paycheck or care about the customer to create job security. Go to the office; it’s called a job.
