Sick of colocation

Bob is in Vegas
His head of wealth is in Albany

They both can get to do whatever they want from their locations

But my manager from Boston, says I can't do my job from Covington office even if I am attending all my connect weeks and more.

What a sick joke and hippocrisy at its peak.

FYI, I had a 1:1 meeting with Bob in 2024 for a recognition event. We talked about the fact that we both live outside of our work sites. I have to travel to my work site every other week. I fly, or drive, stay the week, and then back home. He flies from Vegas to Boston every week, then back to Vegas to be with his family on the weekends. Don't be so sure to assume he works from Vegas all the time.

Fidelity f’d me after 25 1/2 years. Couldn’t return to office. 2 years ago they approved me to work almost 5 hours away. 25 years and 5 months I was treated very well by Fidelity. The last month like trash. Didn’t even offer any severance. F@$K them.

It worked out though. I retired at 53 1/2 instead of 55.

Do your job for your own benefit. Learn about all paid benefits outside of PTO. They don’t give two sh--s about you!!

Sounds like a Fidelity problem.
Fidelity requires in-office attendance, yet can't supply a desk to each associate? A full time job with benefits, yet no desk to work at. OMG, Clueless, Business 101 but somehow Fidelity is too stupid to figure it out.

I think OP meant the management is asking associates to relocate, basically uproot their lives.

I am in Covington, it's quite as he-l out here but I was asked to relocate to Boston, which is a fish market.

If you're asked to move to NC, you're close to get RIF'ed as NC doesn't have space at all, people have already seen insane parking situations

You can't do your job at your site not because you technically can't but because the site needs more room. Lots of NC folks were told they can't work out of NC office because it's full and they can't work from home because they don't allow it. Sad
