If you are making over 150k, why are you worried about whether you are or are not getting a raise?
A lot of people are worried about making rent or a house payment. Shows where you priorities are but typical for that income level.
the worst part is there hadn't been any consideration for area differential. So this affects those of us in area 0 a lot more than elsewhere. 150k is SF is not the same as 150k is DSM. I know people like to cr-p on those making more than 100k but whether you make 50k or 500k, of you work hard you should be rewarded. they like to make the argument that they'll make it up with bonus, but bonus is not guarantee, I'd rather have the salary increase
This can't be a serious question
Might be true. Managers do not receive merit and bonus information until the 16th. Last year there was a 200k cap for merit.
Not true, based upon my personal experience. But, I do eat cake, breakfast, lunch and supper so really don’t know what the Peon going rate is.
We haven't yet heard about the cap on raises this year, if there is one. The first meeting for managers is next week and shortly thereafter, we will see the budget and more information in order to make our decisions.
That was only 2020, last year the cap was 200k. I have an employee making over 150k and they got a merit increase.
Just know that the money they are not giving to you is going somewhere. Maybe it's India. Tech positions increased 43% in 2022 in India. The Philippines seems to be a top secret.
it entirely true. 2020 it was base over 150k, 2021 they upped it to 200k. should find out next week on this year's.
In risk. In 2020 base was 155k, 2021 raise was 0. 2022 I got a 2500 bump.
4 years ago, this was implemented, FOR THAT YEAR. I received raises the oast 3 years. Your manager tells you that. Ask the top person on your team, they got a raise.
False at least for last year (raises in Q1, 22) can’t speak to 2023
Lasy two years it has been true.
Correct
yes at least for last year
