Information is already out on the intranet under Performance Goals. There will be three ratings as opposed to the usual two.

** The guidance to managers is hilarious. Lots and lots of words, no facts. Useless**

This describes Dermie and his monstrous head to a ‘T’. Dermie probably wrote the new rules..

You must volunteer members from your district to appease the Capital’s bell curve.

With this new 1-5 rating coming out, how would the Bell Curve work in theory? How do you compare someone who's doing an entry level role (associate) against say a senior VP or even a VP?

If they tell you BE @ mid year, just sit back and not work a hard rest of year. You will be fired in January.

Also - instead of spending your free time working for free for Bny That is surely going to let you go in the near future, spend that time jobhunting.

Took me 4+ months of serious and consistent job searching to finally get some good leads… Prior to this, I would just look occasionally… But I made a conscious effort to consistently look for the right opportunities. .
Month five I had interviews and finally a couple offers….

It is definitely tough right now, but keep at it….

Many of us already are moving on an exit strategy. It is simply that getting job openings is not happening fast enough. If you have any ideas or insight on how to accelerate dumping this place before getting dumped, please share

Most people on these chat boards should be looking for new employment opportunities or new / different industries to enter.

BNY is a trashcan. It's a fake India-based company with imaginary AI.

I understand the worry, grief and uncertainty, but the company does not value you. So, cash your current and future BNY checks as a emergency fund while you start an exit strategy.

most of the company goals are rooted in non vital work related things like the 1 hour of week learning at BNY or tracking how many days you show up in office , so no matter how hard you work on whatever your real tasks are, they can ding you on those. Mid Years will be a verbal warning .

@bt You can get unemployment for just being bad at your job. What you can't get it for is willful misconduct. ie. a code of.ethics violation. BNYM is BS. File a claim, fight it if BNY tries to deny unemployment for job performance. You Can su-k at your job!!

1-5 scale point now. As a Manager I’m begging you all, do not do over time, don’t work weekends, don’t give any extra effort. We have to put 25% at 4-5 scale. They are doing this because there are no longer reduction in staff packages, they want to be able to say you didn’t complete your goals so you don’t get a severance and you also won’t be able to get unemployment because you got fired for performance.

Managers are being forced to rate their employees this way or they also will be terminated under “justified cause” for not following the instructions.

All these people who poured their whole life into this company will soon learn it didn’t mean anything and you get nothing.
