A friend close to FordLand told me Regent Court was in rough shape and in need of a refresh and the decision was made to keep ITek instead. ITek started a refresh in 2019, paint, carpet, new restrooms and a new parking lot.

Getting desperate Ford…now selling assets…haha…sell to pulte they can make many sf homes on your Dearborn RE. U made a wrong decision to update ur campus. Lot of history lost….well let’s see how desperate you get for the 3 billion save…hey I got an idea your exes can hang out at warren and Michigan and sell their services nightly!!!!! 5 dollars here and there will help bring down your cost problemz

Yeah, just look across Southfield to the abandoned Hyatt Regency. Should be a strong indicator that tall glass buildings are not in high demand in Dearborn. Wonder what they will do with World Headquarters when the company meets its destiny? Always joked that you could just extend the Henry Ford to the campus and put a bunch of mannequins in there and make it look like the 1980/90s.

If it follows recent trends, bottom floor will be retail, restaurants and services. One wing will be apartments/ condos - the other wing assisted living apartments/condos.

I remember that building being mighty drafty especially in the winter.

@rwk+1jxvcbxo. Regent Court is a PALACE compared to what the train station still is today. It is nowhere near ready for occupancy and at least a billion dollars over budget. We are lucky someone is optimistic enough to think they can make something nice out of that section of Dearborn. If Fairlane mall is a clue, his optimism is misplaced.

It seems nobody is interested in taking the Central Station from the hands of Bill. After all, an old building with lost of make up it is still an old building.

Selling the Regent Court building looks like money problems to me. Maybe I am wrong, and they sold it to focus on the bathrooms at MAP.

I am going to focus on the silver lining here. It seems I am going to be working from home for a while more. I just don't know how long I'll have a job.
